The United States Trade Representative (USTR) issues the conclusion of the Section 301 investigation on Vietnamese goods

On July 24, 2021, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) officially issued the conclusion of the investigation case under Section 301 of the Trade Act 1974 on the practices, policies and practices that apply. of Vietnam regarding the issue of currency undervaluation, accordingly, on the basis of satisfactory solutions, to meet the objectives of the investigation as stated in the Agreement reached on July 19, 2021 between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance. U.S. Finance and the State Bank of Vietnam, USTR will not issue any trade-restrictive measures against Vietnamese exports.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam welcomes and highly appreciates this decision of USTR. This is a decision of special positive significance to the bilateral economic - trade relations, business and investment environment in Vietnam and the multifaceted cooperation relationship between the two countries. strategic trust between the two countries.

This is also a positive step following the agreement reached on July 19 between the State Bank of Vietnam and the US Department of Finance, the result of substantive dialogue and goodwill of both sides to resolve the issue. resolve problems in bilateral economic relations, towards building a stable and sustainable relationship that benefits both countries in the spirit of a Comprehensive Partnership.

In the past time, with the role of Chairman of the Vietnam sub-committee in the Vietnam-US Trade and Investment Council (TIFA), the Ministry of Industry and Trade has cooperated with Vietnamese ministries and branches to promote activities for Vietnam.
